Project Description
This aircraft was equipped with Dual GNS-XLS PRNAV units and a Collins EFIS 86 system. FMS systems had previously been changed in this aircraft. The GNS-XLS systems were removed and the UNS-1EW systems installed in their place. Additional annunciator wiring was requires along with installation of the vertical navigation switching functions. The Collins EFIS 86 MFD was removed and replaced with a Universal MFD 640. Also installed were dual Heads-Up XM weather receivers, one for the MFD and one to provide wireless data through a Baron Wi-Fi device to the portable tablets. This installation was certified for fully coupled LPV approaches.
